The Java Sparrow's song is not easy to describe so I have created this page to let my visitors hear the song for themselves.

Each Java cock bird has his own song, I have built this page to publish examples of how different they can sound.

Anyone who keeps Java Sparrows will tell you that the start of each song sounds much like all other Java cock birds. The song starts off with a "tuck tuck tuck tuck" which then meanders into a complicated, intricate and a totally unique song that makes the Java such a delightful bird to keep.

I now have quite a large stud of Java Sparrows and, over time, have got to know which cock bird is singing when my back is turned in the birdroom.

I haven't kept many species in my time with birds (only European Greenfinch, Heck's Grassfinch, Zebra Finch, Cutthroat, Bengalese, Timor Sparrow and obviously Java Sparrow) but I have to say, the Java Sparrow is the most musical of all.

On this page I aim to list as many Java songs as possible so you can get a good idea of what to expect if you are thinking about getting some of these wonderful birds.

Do you have any recordings of Java's singing? If so, why not email them to me and I'll list them on this page. Click Here to get in touch.
